He started falling asleep.

We said goodbye.

I said “I love you”

He said “I love you too”

I said “I love you more”

He said “No, I love you more”

I started to cry knowing he was 2 1/2 hours away.

I could tell he was startled and wanted to help.

I said “I’m sorry”

He said “No reason to be babe” and sent a kiss my way

…I miss him so much it hurts :’(
